After a prolonged sickness, the Lord guided Carl “Banks” Raymond Roberson to his heavenly residence on Sunday, October 11, 2020. 

Banks (as everybody knew him as) was 87 and lived in Jasper, Tn., together with his spouse of 60 years, Janice Layne Roberson. Banks was born on Nov. 1, 1932, to Claude and Lillie Roberson. He was a lifetime resident of Marion County, Tn. Banks had been employed with Serodino, Inc. in Guild, Tn. for over 45+ years as a painter and a “jack of all trades” for this firm.  

Banks was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and pal. His household was his life.  You by no means noticed him with out a smile and his Marion County Purple Warrior hat.    Banks cherished all sports activities particularly when the Marion County Warriors have been enjoying.   He had wished for a boy nevertheless God noticed that he wanted three daughters.   Banks was blessed together with his first grandson, Ricky whom he adopted to observe him play baseball wherever he traveled.  He was an avid coon hunter and cherished being within the nice outside.  Banks was a easy and trustworthy man whom everybody cherished.  Those who have been in his life will miss Banks and he leaves an vacancy of their hearts.

He was preceded in loss of life by his dad and mom, Claude and Lillie Payne Roberson; great-grandson, Beau Oliver Gilliam; brothers, Richard Roberson, Babe Ruth Roberson and Luke Roberson and sister, Violet Lingerfelt.

These left to cherish Banks reminiscences are his spouse, Janice Layne Roberson; daughters, Karen Colbert, Daphne Roberson and Carlene (Rick) McGowan; brothers, Cecil (Linda) Roberson; sisters, Katherine Roberson, Myrtle Tate and Frankie Ross; grandchildren, Ricky (Sheldon) McGowan, Shonda McGowan, and Erin (Steven) Gilliam; great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Kylee and Brynlee McGowan, Alannah Robinson and Indy Jude Gilliam, whom is to make his look on his great-grandfather’s birthday on November 1, 2020 and particular pals, Gary Hardy, Tommy “Click on” Fast and Ken Colquette.  He leaves additionally brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and loving pals. 

The household can have visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from 2-Four p.m. CST at Tate Funeral House in Jasper, Tn.

The graveside service will probably be held following the visitation at 4:30 p.m. CST at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, with Pastor Ronnie Case officiating.

Pallbearers will probably be Rick McGowan, Ricky McGowan, Will Wooten, Johnny Holtcamp, Gary Hardy and Roger Lawson.

Funeral preparations are by Tate Funeral House, LLC, 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, Tn. 37347, 423 942-9500.
